Maid of Honor - Betina Clark

I first met Cicily around age 5 in a after-school program where Cicily starred in our play (an early sign of future greatness) as a Viking Princess who had to kiss a boy which she thought was yucky.  Our paths crossed again around age 10, then again at 15, and finally at 17 when we learned at an awards dinner that we were both headed to Yale.  At Yale we cemented our friendship, riding back and forth to New Haven on the train, repeatedly singing Room 317 from Miss Saigon, and pledging Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. together, forever making us sisters. We’ve laughed, cried, vacationed, and pondered the future.  I’m so thrilled that she has found Brett, with whom she can truly be herself.  And I love Brett for welcoming me into their new life together as a brother. I have no doubt that they are perfect for each other.  I know this because with Brett, she no longer thinks that kissing boys is yucky.

Best Man - Ben Roseberry

Ben first met Brett on a breezy spring afternoon in St. Louis, in 1999.  They were both auditioning for a BFA program at Webster University's Conservatory for Theater Arts.  As luck (and fate) would have it, they were both accepted to this highly competitive program.  Through the next 4 years, their friendship grew to that level of the best and most iconic friendships.  They were classmates, they shared the stage, were roommates for a year, and saw each other through heartbreak and loss.  In the years since graduating, they have remained close friends, and it is Ben's distinct pleasure to be a part of this wonderful union.  Some of Ben's favorite activities with Brett include: terrible scary movies, inventing really bad riffs, asking for student IDs, tasting really good scotch, tasting really bad scotch, enjoying a beer together, enjoying 10 beers together, and relishing in the brilliance that is a Macias composition.  He could not be more proud of his best friend.  Cicily, you are one lucky woman!

Bridesmaid - Regina Bain

Regina grew up in Florida and came north for college where she met the fabulous Diva we call Cicily. As part of the a capella group Shades, they practiced long hours to perfect their first duet - Breaths by Sweet Honey in the Rock. After the move to New York for the theater, Regina met Brett at a champagne brunch and watched as Cicily blushed and glowed. Regina has moved on from theater to education but always has a song in her heart for the Diva and Her Man.

Check out these stunning ladies and handsome gents

Groomsman - Lee Huff

I know too much about both of them and have been sworn to secrecy about anything that "really" happened. That being said, I may be persuaded if the price is right.

I met Brett in grad school at NYU and we became friends during applicants weekend when my collaborator and I took turns complaining about each other to Brett...I won.

I don't recall when I first met Cicily, but I do remember Brett telling me about her after the first time that they had met. It's a great story and involves cookies. Make sure you ask them about it.

Groomsman - Alex Sanchez

Alex journeyed from the far reaches of Texas in the winter of '04 to the wilds that is New York. He was but a new scamp making his way across the Manhattan isles, partaking of all the adventures that Manhattan has to offer.
Then fate threw him a curve and introduced him to one of his ilk...another half-mexican. Alex was shocked for he thought he was the last of his kind.
This other half-can went by the name of Makai.
Alex and Makai quickly discovered that joining forces could cause a wave of awesome that could destroy the entire city...but they did it anyways.
Alex and Makai traveled the streets of New York, sampling all that it had to offer. Tales are still told of this magical duo that would ask for obscure scotch samplings, eat oddly cheesed slices of pizza, and devour all the barbecue.
Then one faithful day Makai stumbled into a lady-folk. This was no ordinary lady-folk, this was the lady-folk that tamed Makai's wild heart. He introduced Cicily to the wild NYC adventures and has yet to leave her side.

And although Alex has moved away from the wastes of New York, he returns to wish Makai and Cicily great fortune on their greatest adventure yet...marriage.

Bridesmaid - Nyasha Laing

Nyasha is Cicily's backstage friend. They've been best buddies since meeting way back in the hallowed halls of the 4th grade Magnet Program at Cannon Road Elementary School in Silver Spring. As a youth her favorite pastime was torturing Cicily's mother with high-pitched Phantom of the Opera solos during sleepovers. In music class and once at the recording studio at King's Dominion Theme Park, Nyasha and Cicily also performed two better-than-American Idol duet covers of songs by Whitney Houston and Tiffany. At 13, Nyasha left the suburbs of Maryland for the suburbs of New York City, but she and Cicily kept in touch and ended up attending Yale together. Nyasha later moved to Belize to work in international development and the arts. She met Brett at some party or the other at his apartment in Harlem on a visit to NYC. There was lots of food and it felt like home. The passion, love and generosity of spirit that Cicily and Brett share is infectious, and it is one of her greatest honors to be a part of their wedding, and many more food parties!

Groomsman - Matthew Schatz

Brett was the first person Matt met upon moving to New York, and the two of them bonded the instant they became roommates.  Their shared love of theater, video games, terrible movies, and pretty much all other nerdy things served as the cornerstone for what is now an incredibly powerful friendship.  Since 2008, the two of them have gotten into too many shenanigans to list.

When Brett first introduced Cicily, Matt recognized that an incredibly positive influence had entered his buddy's life.  Cicily and Matt fell in step as though she had been a part of Brett's life from the beginning.  Since 2010, the three of them have gotten into too many shenanigans to list.

Bridesmaid - Michelle Stein

Michele met Cicily their freshman year at Yale.  She cannot remember the exact time or way that she met Cicily, but she is glad that she did and cannot imagine her life without this amazing diva as her friend!  Cicily and Michele share a passion for dance and singing (although Michele is nowhere near a professional!) and Cicily taught dance to Michele’s LEAP children in New Haven, CT.  Cicily and Michele

have seen each other through good times and bad, and have shared many laughs together.  Cicily is the best aunty ever to Michele’s children, Maya and Caden, and Brett has not only earned the title of Uncle Brett, but he has become a cherished uncle as well.  Cicily was a bridesmaid at Michele’s wedding nine years ago, and Michele is ecstatic to return the favor and serve as a bridesmaid for Cicily and Brett’s awesome wedding.

Groomsman - Christopher White

Chris met Brett a few months ago in their building lobby when he asked Brett if he could to borrow $10. Just kidding. Chris actually met Brett (through Best Man Ben Roseberry) in the spring of 2000 when he auditioned for Webster Conservatory. Chris didn't know that after thirteen years of friendship, mayhem and  food, he would get to watch Brett marry Cicily Daniels (the best woman Brett has ever known).

THE WEDDING PARTY

Flower Girl - Maya Stein

Maya Stein is the daughter of Michele and Christopher Stein and she is a beloved “niece” of Cicily.  Maya is 6-years-old and she likes drawing, painting and arts and crafts.  She also enjoys dancing and singing - just like Aunty Cici!  Aunty Cici and Uncle Brett have made one of Maya’s dreams come true by asking her to be their flower girl!  She is very excited to wear a fancy dress and wear a tiara!

Ring Bearer - Caden Stein

Caden Stein is the son of Michele and Christopher Stein and he is a beloved “nephew” of Cicily.   Caden is 3-years-old and he enjoys playing with cars, trucks and trains.  Caden has a special bond with Uncle Brett, whom he has declared as the “tallest uncle in the whole-wide world.”  When Uncle Brett asked Caden to be his ring-bearer, he asked Caden if he would wear a suit and help him – to which Caden replied, “Uncle Brett, bears do not wear suits, they have fur.”

And the little people...

Maya and Caden love Aunty Cici and Uncle Brett and are so excited to be a part of their special day.
